Have you heard that song called “Buy Dirt”? This is our story of the beginning of Southpaw Dog Academy and Boarding.
We had been looking to buy property outside of city limits of Holdrege, Nebraska for quite some time with little luck of finding anything. We had even considered moving out of state because we were finding “perfect properties” but something was never quite right. We have lived in Holdrege for the past 11 years and have called the South Central Nebraska area “Home” for the last 16 years (Nani) and 20+ years (Ben). Patience, timing, and God knowing what the plan for us all had to line up first for us to find the perfect spot.
Our Realtor, Colby Gray (Clear View Realty - Holdrege, Nebraska), had been keeping his eyes open for us but nothing was coming up for sale. Without him, we would not have been able to “buy dirt” where we did and a HUGE thank you to him for pitching the idea to the property owner to sell the land that we now call Southpaw Dog Academy and Boarding.
Holdrege, Nebraska is HOME to us, and also home to approximately 5,534 other people and their 4-legged family members. We want to be able to provide a place for the dogs of Holdrege (and surrounding areas) to have a safe and comfortable stay while their humans are away. We will provide exceptional dog training & boarding- right here in our small community!
This is how Southpaw Dog Academy and Boarding came to a start and we now have the perfect piece of dirt to do what we love and call it work.
